“Oh…” Sophia said softly. That must have been hard on him. She had seen the pain in his eyes when she had almost died and it probably brought back bad memories for him when that happened. She wondered if anyone in the family knew about that

“He, uh,” He shrugged and hugged Sophia. “He saw her die and just kinda snapped. When he found out who the other driver was he made sure he suffered before he died.”
