“Yeah, middle school.” she nodded. “Kindergarden through fourth is Elementary, fifth through eighth is middle school, Ninth through twelfth is high school then after that it’s college,” Sophia explained. 

“Weird. I started scuola elementare which I guess would be like elementary when I was four and a half, most people don’t start until they’re six. Then I was in lower secondary when I was nine until I was eleven, and then upper secondary until we moved back here. And then university would’ve came after upper secondary, probably. But what you learn here in high school is what I started learning in the last year of elementary and lower secondary.”
