Evan was still way too excited to be seeing Sophia again. She hopped out of the cab when it pulled up to the house in New Jersey. “Damn, Veedubs.. Who the hell are you marrying?” She said to herself as she grabbed her luggage and paid the driver. He drove away and she made her way to the door, ringing the bell.
Sophia smiled at Gabe, “Okay.”
With a nod, Sophia stood up and curled her fingers over the edge of the vent to climb up. Suddenly, she jumped a little when the doorbell rang.
“Someone’s here,” she turned to Gabe.
“We can get someone else to open the bedroom door. Let’s take the stairs, cause it’s either your friend or one of mine that doesn’t have their keys.” Gabe picked Sophia up, carrying her over to the stairs before setting her down.
