Evan nearly fell over as the smaller girl hugged her. “I missed you too!!!” She laughed and gave her a big kiss on the cheek, then looked over in the direction she heard a voice. “Ha, no not a boy. And you must be Gabe.” She pulled away from Sophia and stuck out her hand for him to shake.
Sophia beamed then stepped back and looked over at Gabe then nodded, shutting the door behind her.
“Yup, that’s Gabe. My fiancé,” Sophia said. “Gabe, this is my best friend, Evan. Not a boy.”
Gabe shook Evan’s hand and nodded. “Not a boy, definitely not a boy,” He smiled. “Your name confused me. Like, a lot.”
