Sophia looked at him and kept her eyes on him while he spoke. She was a little pale and swallowed roughly, hanging on his every word. Sophia laid her head on his shoulder and nuzzled his neck.
“I’m so sorry,” she whispered. “That you had to go through all of that,” Sophia traced her fingertips over his chest. “But I’m glad someone, or something brought you back. Its amazing to think that happened, I mean, my family has never been really religious. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a church. I’m just glad you’re okay now.”
He kissed her forehead and pilled her closer, then ran his fingers through her hair. “You’re the first person I’ve ever told the whole story to. I mean, I didn’t even tell my parents the whole thing when I finally went home, I told them the first part but then after I left Nevada, I just came up with some bullshit so they wouldn’t think I was crazy or something.”
